YOUR AUDIO. YOUR CHOICE.
Privacy policy
Effective September 13, 2026
FlowState Live processes your audio on your device. The app does not automatically send recordings to its developer. This policy explains the choices you have when you record, share or contact support.
FlowState Live is developed by Senn Soldwedel. Contact: sasoldwedel@gmail.com.
Audio stays on your device during processing
FlowState Live processes microphone, guitar and MIDI input on your iPhone, iPad or Mac to generate vocal harmony. The standalone app uses an external audio interface. In AUv3 mode, your audio-unit host supplies audio and MIDI. FlowState Live does not send your live audio to a developer server or use it to train a model. Its harmony processing does not require an online account or internet connection.
Recordings and settings
When you choose Record, the app saves audio and associated technical information locally. A take can contain dry vocal, guitar when available, generated harmony, output audio, selected settings, MIDI chord events, sample timing, app build information and recording diagnostics. Standalone input selections and other settings are also stored locally. Recordings remain saved after the app closes; there is no automatic upload or automatic expiration of saved takes.
Choosing Share Take opens Apple's sharing interface. You choose whether to share and the destination. The exported take includes its audio and diagnostic files. The receiving app or service handles those copies under its own privacy practices. Sharing does not give the FlowState developer automatic access to a take. In standalone mode, the recorded processor output does not include the separately mixed dry-guitar monitor.
The current app does not provide an individual-take deletion control. Deleting the app removes its private local data from that installation. Copies already exported, backed up, or saved in a host project are managed separately by you, the host or the backup service. Device backups may contain app data depending on your Apple settings. AUv3 host projects can also retain plugin settings independently of the app.
Permissions and other services
Microphone permission allows FlowState Live to receive audio input. You can change that permission in system settings. Revoking it prevents the standalone app from processing microphone/interface audio. AUv3 audio access is also governed by its host.
The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, a developer analytics service, or a developer-operated cloud recording service. Apple may handle TestFlight crash reports, feedback and installation information under its own terms and privacy policy. Hosts, sharing destinations and backup providers have their own privacy practices.
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Normal web-request information, such as IP address and browser information, is processed by Cloudflare to deliver and secure the website. The website itself adds no analytics scripts, advertising, upload forms or tracking cookies. Cloudflare describes its handling of service data at Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Reading this site does not require microphone access or an audio recording.
Contact and retention
If you email support or deliberately send a recording to the developer, the developer receives the information you send and uses it to respond and investigate the reported issue. Avoid including unrelated personal information. Support messages and deliberately submitted recordings/diagnostics are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond to the request, investigate related problems and meet applicable legal obligations. They are not used for advertising or sold. Service providers handling support correspondence are used for that purpose under applicable privacy and security obligations. You may request deletion of information you have sent by emailing sasoldwedel@gmail.com, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
Changes
Changes to recording, sharing or data collection will be reflected in that policy and in the app's privacy disclosures where applicable.
